DIFGEN® Overview
DIFGEN® is a pressure and flow control system deployed in pressurized water mains that is also designed to recover the embedded energy and produce electricity for on site use, or sale to the power grid.
The DIFGEN® is a cost effective replacement for pressure chokes in all types of systems where pressure control and management is vital. The pressure management system generates pure power from the pressure drop in fluids combining the pressure control from chokes and electricity generation from hydro turbines, generating electricity at no extra operating cost. The generated power can be used to reduce your own net power bill or sold to the power grid for profit.
ENERGY RECOVERY
The patented DIFGEN® solution is the obvious choice for water utilities considering energy recovery investments in their water pipelines. On locations where traditional turbines or PAT’s (Pump As Turbine) can be utilized and where flow rate and/or pressure variations exist, the DIFGEN® is the natural choice, outperforming competitive systems.
DIFGEN® can work with any downstream pressure, which enables it to be installed anywhere in the mains or distribution grid, not only on reservoir/tank inlets.
